Questions about the recommendation

Ask what the surgeon would change, why that technique suits your anatomy, and what they would not be able to improve. Request a plain-language explanation of the expected result, scars, and alternatives.

For implants or injectable products, ask for the exact brand, model, size, batch or traceability information, and how long the product is expected to last. For hair restoration, ask who designs the hairline and performs each stage.

Questions about safety and risk

Ask who provides anaesthesia, where you recover, what monitoring is used, and how the clinic responds to complications. Tell the team about medicines, allergies, smoking, previous surgery, and relevant medical conditions.

A responsible consultation discusses procedure-specific risks, not only general reassurance. Ask which symptoms require an urgent call and whether the clinic has admitting privileges or a hospital transfer agreement.

Questions about the quote and aftercare

Request an itemised quote showing the surgeon, anaesthesia, facility, tests, products or implants, garments, reviews, and any optional services. Confirm the deposit, cancellation terms, payment schedule, and possible additional costs.

Get the aftercare plan in writing. It should name the first review, later checks, contact route, revision policy, and what happens if you need help after returning home or to another city.

Remember: This guide is for general information, not medical advice. Discuss your individual circumstances with a qualified clinician before choosing treatment.
